There she is in all her glory. I love love love how this turned out!!! The wingspan measures 60" wide which is perfect for a 5'10" gal. I made the neckline tall but not tight, so a collar inside would not be squeezed. The 'sleeves' are sewn midway down so that cold breezes are kept at bay.
I did end up sewing the insert in instead of using a three needle bindoff. I took my time to make it look seamless. Of course the yarn is doing all the work. Noro Kuryeon and some Silk Garden. I used about 12 skeins.
I love the slimming lines of the center panel. And the neckline triangles define the shoulders in a nice way too. This is one of my favorite all time knits. See pattern here.
I wish I had my pal Judy here to model it, but here are some old pictures of me in my poncho so you get the idea of how it looks like a sweater when the arms are at one's side.
