Back to our regular programming...
This is Brooke's kitchen in her new apartment. Brand new refrigerator, a dishwasher(!! which I don't have in mine) and all new stuff like a microwave, toaster, tea kettle etc. Nothing like starting off with new kitchen goodies...
and new Ektorp to boot. Of course I am the bad sister taking these pictures while everything is being unpacked, but time was of the essence and I just had to do it.
How lucky she is to have her washer and dryer right in her apartment. That makes it so much better than a laundry room. Sigh.
Glory has it made in the shade with her IKEA, Target, Walmart outfit. The bed was spray painted at my house before they moved in. She wanted the colors turquoise, purple and lime green. A girl after my own heart. This loft bed makes great use of her space, no?
So things are back to normal at the Mexican Chalet. I am about to start a zillion projects, including a new patio which I am getting an estimate on tomorrow. New haircut too, and then it is dyeing fabric and making paintings and gross amounts of weeding!
It's good to be back blogging again.
HeyMelody - Went to Back Porch Fabrics today to the opening of your friend Joann Kiehn's show. How fun to see your hand dyed fabrics staring me in the face!! She asked that I say hello and she really misses being able to come over and buy what she needs!!
ReplyDeleteHer little dog faces were framed and gorgeous!!
So, there you were again - sort of - in California!!
Woo Hoo!!

And it's good to have you back again.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Brooke will be back soon too.
What a great combination of colours!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everyone is settling in and you can get back to art and the gardens. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo when is the doting auntie going to make a little something to embellish this wonderful colour scheme? I'm sure a hand dyed throw of some kind would add that little something to the combination! Glad to see they are now settling in. Hope high school goes well for Glory my 9th grader starts on Wednesday.
