Meeting Lynne Vogel

31080 204193886 On the third Wednesday of the month I attend a Knitting Group, the Stone Light Stitchers, at the all purpose quilt/knit/dye shop Stone Light Studio (where I am doing the workshop). How lucky for me that Lynne Vogel should be in attendance at our little group yesterday.

When I first came to Tennessee I wanted to meet up with other fiber artists and actually Googled around looking for connections. I used to be shy, but it is such a time waster. I found a link which led me to Lynne’s blog, and I asked her advice on finding fellow fiber artists. I was already a fan and had purchased her sock workbook, back before I could navigate around a sock. It is sooo gorgeous and color-filled. And now she has the sweater book out and it is equally great colorwise and ideawise. Thrilling.

So there we were in the same room, at the same table knitting away. I guess I am not so isolated here in the boonies after all. Deee-lightful! Lynne does amazing patterns and here is one recently posted on Knitty.com

  1. Pardon me for a moment while I clean up this puddle of drool that is forming looking at your class. Hmm... do you have some cute lil B&B's around there also?
