Merry Christmas from the Mexican Chalet

For Christmas I have an overwhelming sense of Thanksgiving, if only a month late. I am so thankful to you Dear Reader for your companionship and encouragement over the years, and especially for you who leave comments...even Mr. or Ms. Anonymous. You have made me feel heard, which is something we all want.
We wish you a very Happy Christmas, full of family and love and a super great New Year.
Love,
Melody and Dave

From a faithful reader of your blog I wish you and your husband a wonderful Christmas. We have rainy weathr here in Switzerland, cozy just to stay inside, hav a nice meal and a good glass of wine. I want to do some quilting tomorrow and am inspired by your bedcover.

  5. Merry Christmas to you and Dave. I just want to tell you how much your blog means to me. I only found it a month or so ago, but I know that each morning when the computer goes on, I can count on you being there to "talk" to me and give me inspiration. I am trying to find the art quilter in me and you help me to feel she is in there somewhere! I thank you so much and hope 2009 is a great year for all of us! HOPE is in the air!

  21. And Merry Christmas to you and thank you for the inspiration to do things "differently." I can't/don't follow directions well: I like to go my own way. But your work encourages me to go even farther and I like that.

Hi Ms Mel - Just to let you know that reading your blog is very important to me.
Not only have you inspired me over the years to become a better artist and dyer, reading about your life has on occasion given me the kick I need to get going in the garden, or to re-organize the studio, or to rearrange the furniture.
You are amazing and you do not seem to be the least bit aware of it. Your generosity with time and information is astonishing.
I wish you and Dave a very happy and a healthy new year.
