We have a few different varieties of tomatoes in our garden, heirloom, cherry, and the kind that grow well in a container. All of them are starting to ripen, demanding to be painted. Ah summer!
Doncha love red?
No tomatoes showing... have to go to Ebay to see it, but it sure is worth the trip...makes me hungry!
ReplyDeleteThe blue teapot is sure seeing some action. It is on my watch list.
I agree with Cindra - I went to eBay to see it and those reds are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteYep, I love red. I like how the background echoes the tomato skin.
ReplyDeleteHurray! Finally those harsh white highlight spots are softened so the fruit doesn't look covered in oil or made of plastic. Beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteThem's some hot tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteGreat tomatoes! Mine are still green...going into the "white" stage, though so they should be ripening soon. Would green tomatoes be just as "appealing"??? Thing I'll get my paints out and see! BTW, loved the blue teapot! :)
