A Cameo and Two Grannies

A Cameo and Two Grannies
Oil on primed canvas 10x10"

The strawberries got me going and I felt empowered to do this one with even more vigor. Of course the color combination of pink, red, orange and lime green is my combo of the year. Three of my last four quilts were these colors.
I polished them up before arranging them on the table. The Cameo is the yellow-orange apple and in reality is kinda on the way out, but still, it held its own against the fresher Grannie Smiths.
I thought this blossom end deserved a showing, since the stem end always gets the spotlight.
Honestly, I am over the moon with this painting.
Just what I have been wanting to do FOR-EVER. I danced around all day stating my happiness. I am thinking of going through the entire produce department for subject matter.

The apples are delicious. You have a way with color in what ever you do. It is so pleasing to the eye...it looks like your hand dyed fabric is the background and it is a perfect combination. You have your groove back and nothing can stop you now. Lucky us to be able to see this art show. Keep 'em coming.
