Season Finales

American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Law and Order SVU and regular L&O, and tonight Ugly Betty, and Gray's Anatomy are all ending this week. It got me thinking about the coincidence of ending the planting here at the Mexican Chalet, and the next phase of my endeavors. Our weather looks to be getting hot and dry, so my gardening will consist of watering and weeding, and only the occasional harvest of late spring things. Not that much will happen for a while.

So the plan will be to return to more indoor (studio) activities again. I will intersperse the blog with whatever comes into bloom, maybe in the sidebar pictures, and will take a week or so off from blogging to decide what it will be that I start doing.

Being a kind of one thing at a time person, I can't really focus on multiple diversions and expect to accomplish anything. I need to gear up for a specific activity, finding all the necessary equipment, reorganizing the space, the lighting, the seating and the music.

I recently put away my fabric, but not too far, so I am thinking it won't be fabric related stuff that I get into, at least for a while. And definitely not knitting, which seems like a more wintery thing to do here in the South.

I have been looking again at the work of Peter Alberice, and Marsha Marshall and a new-to-me wonderful representational painter, Carol Marine, so I am leaning toward painting again, at least today I think so...

I will be back with something new, including a new header (Good-bye Gardenmania) on May 28th. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, and don't forget the sunscreen!
