Color: Finding Inspiration

I was over at Knitty.com and found this article. It wasn't the knitting that got my attention, it was the color charts. Don't they look like quilts?

The subject of the article was on changing color schemes for this sweater, but what got me was the groupings, each one demands to be made. Note the value changes, but how each panel keeps to the same hue and in the first set, the two colors are used together in the center panel.

I am even liking the neutral collection in the second group. The 'duller' colors offer a nice support for the brighter colors. I wonder if I own any dull color? Must. Search. The Stash.

This is getting my juices flowing. It's all about the color for me.

Here's some more...

  1. How neat! Send me the link. I took my first Fair Isle class last night and am having a blast with two handed color knitting. Now if I only had another hand.
There is no "dull" in Melody.
