Paarrrrttttyyyy!
.
First the food. Since my sister doesn't drink, I remained sober during the food prep too. It's amazing how much easier it is to remember to cook everything correctly, and get it all done at the same time. Really yummy.
I was so happy to see the UPS Hunk coming up the driveway. He was delivering my present from Tommy. I love this bag! I will use it for knitting. It has pockets galore inside.

While Brooke and I cooked, Dave and Glory spent a really long time at "Ace Hardware" before dinner, and came home with stuff we were not allowed to see. I could tell they were up to something.
Really nice gift which I am using at this very moment. A bed desk complete with a place for my cuppa. The other choice was Dora the Explorer. I am glad to be a Marvelous Mel. I really like this lap thingy. It keeps my laptop from burning my legs.

Dave and Glory found the largest panties at the store, in red, white and black. Three of these Big Mamas. Hrruumpf. Dieting begins in January. At least that's the plan today. If these happen to fit, I may reconsider.
And they included two red headbands, coordination reigns supreme.

I laffed so hard I was in danger of my face swallowing my eyes.

We also opened our Christmas gifts and Dave got this wonderful new buddy from Brooke.

They immediately became close confidants. The Littlest Orphan (#2, Popeye is #1) is holding his fishy and whispering secrets to Dave. And then he had to take a nap, as is the habit of kitties around our house. The expert at naps.
The crowd sang Happy Birthday in harmony and I was beaming.
And then we ate Brownie Cheesecake. No frosting..Cool Whip!

Thank you all for your wonderful birthday wishes, poems and chuckles. I love you all! Melody

  1. I'm a bit late in wishing you Happy Birthday - looks like you had one anyway! May I say you look mighty fine for 60. Love all the stuff you're going to put in the garden!
