A New Stack
Wow, it has been a long time since I ventured into the studio. But I had this idea, and made a quick sketch of it to clarify my thoughts. I wanted to make a larger Stack, with multiple fabrics. Each section would be a single colorway, followed by contrasting layers. At least that was the plan.
My first layer would be yellow, but I got in trouble right away by using a green dyepainted piece as the focal point. The fix for this mistake would come later.
What you see above is the first layer on a sheet of release paper, which is on top of my large teflon working surface which I got from valeriehearder.com/ and just love. I use both the paper and the teflon now, for working out my designs.

ReplyDeleteI love those Teflon sheets from Val. And, lucky me, Val and I will be neighbors, of sorts, strating in July as my new condo is in the next town over on Mahone Bay!!!

ReplyDeleteCool process!! I love seeing how you do what you do. BTW I've been looking for a good source for Teflon to cover my entire ironing board. So I ordered a large piece from Valerie. Thanks for the great source. I'm so sick of protecting my ironing surface!! Teflon is a God send for we fusers.
