Tangerine Trail

Hand dyed cottons, fused, hand and machine quilted. ~12" squarish

I just had to add a teeny bit of purple for contrast. It's OK. I am the boss of my art.

This fairly reeks of Valentine's Day, eh? Minus the hearts.

The Street Series, so far!

  1. I was thinking about Valentine's when I scrolled down to Strawberry! I'm not usually a fan of red (let alone pink!) but I love the wonky symmetry and wit of this piece.

I really really really want to see these all lined up on a gallery wall. (With a coordinating buffet of fruit!)

  2. Just for you Deb and Brooke too, who asked for the same thing last night. I lined them up in Picasa2 as a collage. Woowoo!

    Ms. Mel,

These are just beautiful when viewed as a Series, they reflect the joy in their creation.

They look beautiful. You make me want to dye (better than dying I guess).
You were right about the purple too.
What is your philosophy about machine and hand quilting? I like the idea of combining them.
