Frieda and Laura said they didn't see these on the blog when I posted them. And they didn't see the scale of them, or the idea of the series and that I should blog them again. So here they are. Aren't they neato-keen?
Only ten inches each. You can see larger images here.
These are really a beautiful set of paintings. So glad I could see them in person to appreciate the detail and brilliance of color. Had a great time surprising you!
Melody I have really enjoyed your painting. I enjoy your abstract painting style and enjoyed watching your progress. I did decorative painting for years, so now when I try to paint I can't loosen up. I like the way you have stressed loosening up your painting style.
I also love your quilting and hope to take your class in NC in May. I ordered your tulip pattern and cat pattern. I made the tulip quilt with my hand dyed fabric and love it....Still haven't taken the plunge to quilt it. I still need lots of practice for machine quilting.
As an artist, one of my goals is to take risks, try new ideas, and find a way to give myself that 'thrill' that making art can provide. Words of encouragement are always accepted.
I answer my emails faithfully, so please send me your thoughts. fibermania@gmail.com or call me at 423-653-9109
