Not Ready for Primetime

I made three small quilts this weekend and spent the evening hand quilting this one, which is so close to being finished, but is not.

There really was nothing good on TV until the Discovery Channel's new show called Atlas. Last night it was two hours on China, which was so amazing. In 20 years we will all be speaking Chinese. Next week it will be all about Italy.

I have some machine work to do yet on this piece, and some cleanup of stray threads and then I will post the finished product.
I am leaving on Wednesday for the Great White North. Yellowknife, Northwest Territory, Canada. I kid you not. I am so excited because I just googled this town and it turns out it was founded on a gold rush, and now it is known for its diamond mines! It just mined its millionth carat. My kinda town.

  1. Wow! What a great trip! Does Dave get to go with you? Hahahaha, perhaps you should check out the tub first! I can just picture you and your beau in one of those old time pictures where he's in the tub and you are massaging him withone hand and holding a shotgun in the other!
    Have a great time!

Oh my. I have always wanted to visit Yellowknife but the only person I knew who lived there moved to Vancouver. You know, the last Pope visited there!

    Have fun!!
