Geranium Leaf

Geranium Leaf
15 1/2 x 21 3/4"
Hand Dyed cottons, fused, hand embroidered, hand and machine quilted

Hand quilting in contrasting colors, with hand dyed pearl cotton #8.

French Knots

The hand quilting and embroidery is done just through the top and the batting, and then the backing is added and quilted through all three layers by machine. Fused binding is added and stitched with a decorative machine stitch.

At this time of year, I get the 'save leaves' before they all fade away feeling. This is the third year in a row that I have made leaf collection quilts. More to come, after the quilting is finished.
