Trading Spaces

OK I admit it. We are officially nuts. We love rearranging our house. This latest move involves Dave's sleeping disorder. He has been sleeping (if you can call it that) in the guest room so that we can both sleep as well as we can. But the guest room made him feel a bit cramped. So he mentioned that he would rather sleep in the library, which was for years our master bedroom.
So Whammo! We moved him into that room. Which left the guest room open for the office.

We have way too much furniture, and yet, I can find a place for it all. That little multicolored table was a freebie from Tommy. I like it in every room in the house.

The desk fits in an alcove space with a book case to my right. This was filled with yarn, and now that yarn has to go somewhere else. This will be my task today. Yarn fondling...my fave.

Hello Amazon, I need a few more books... JUST KIDDING. I am also about to unload my magazine collection. I have Threads, American Artist, Fiberarts, Ornament and American Craft from the last century that I really have to let go. It is amazing that the closet floor hasn't collapsed from the weight of them all.

These chairs face nothing. No stereo, no tv. What, you mean they are just there for reading? I am using them to write this blog at the moment, which is pretty comfy, I must say. This could lead to me keeping all my papers, computers, and STUFF all in one teeny room. Maybe the yarn will fill the void.

Here's Dave sleeping in his new room. Notice how none of the furnishings match anymore? Is there a purple bed quilt in the offing? Don't hold your breath. I may get a duvet cover from IKEA and call that a fix. He really isn't sleeping, since he was having a sneezing fit, this being hay fever season.

The windows have no curtains, which is how he likes it. The moon and stars keep him company at night and the birds sing him awake in the morning. No wonder he naps several times a day.

regards and sympathy to Dave-everyone in my house has the seasonal sneezies-it's a real festival of snortin' and blowin' around here....ahhhh, good times....(not)thank God they all go to sleep and don't spend the night like that and thank God for Nasonex. It takes a day or so but that stuff is GOLD!Love the re-do and the yard pics from the other day.

  2. Interesting; I have never rearranged a room in my life. It seems like way too much work. When I tire of the setup, I generally move. Oh, no, not really; when the windows that are too high to wash get dirty, that's when I move!!!
