Last Night
My lecture last night was lotsa fun for me. The guild had tons of folks I have known for years which made it kind of a reunion. I am rarely invited to a local guild. This must be the 'unheralded in one's own land" effect.
It was a great thing to speak at a guild that provided its own digital projector. My miles of cable stayed in the suitcase and I didn't have to set up everything as usual. O for the days when all quilt guilds will have invested in a digital projector! This one actually had the capability of a remote control, so I could stand in front of the crowd and just click away!
I got home late and consequently slept late, so this will be a shortie blog today.
Notice the top of the blog has an Art Quote of the Day? I found this on someone else's blog and just had to have it. It's like the blog is all new now, with a new header and the quote part. I even changed the background color slightly from whitesmoke to white. I feel powerful when I do stuff like that.
I am easily deluded.

Love the art quote of the day, and love the whole new look too. Just wish it looked as good on Firefox as it does on Explorer. Half the logo is missing....
    Loving the new stacks!

  5. I also have an art quote, but only change them monthly! I don't blog every day like you do, Mrs Mel, cos I can't be a fulltime artist. I am using Firefox, and your blog is wonky for me too - the title is over to the right instead of sitting on the picture bar at the top. I wish Blogger was more WYSIWYG.

  6. Remember me? I was in the third section, fourth row back on the end. :)
Your lecture was excellent! It was nice to see beautiful quilts, hear some good stories, laugh, and be inspired all in one evening. Thanks Melody.
