Glory in the Morning

Not only is Glory her name, but her smile brings the same response. She is my eleven year old niece and daughter of my sister Brooke (and husband Terry, who remains in Singapore).

A candid shot of Brooke, who retains the family trait, rooster hair in the morning.
I cropped the shot, out of generosity, and fear of revenge.

Unused to conversation and frivolity this early, Popeye and I retreat to the bedroom to blog.

We are not alone for long.

Was Nancy Crow talking about me by any chance?!!!

Enjoy your family's visit and spoil that niece to bits regardless of how much her mother might protest.......they grow up so quickly and time and distance won't give you this chance very often.

Glad Brooke and Glory made it safely.

Funny, I received my copy of Nancy's book yesterday (ordered on your advice- good advice once again) and, while paging through it I also came across that quote and marked the page. Wiser words I have never read.
