Retreat News Flash!
In addition to the tuition fee of 100 clams, we have just received the fine print for our rooms. The B&B price for each student is $112.00, including 9% tax. This includes your room for two nights, double occupancy, full breakfast each morning, and the classroom. This rate is their “camp rate” which means they do not do maid service ( make our beds or clean our bathrooms). I guess it will be just like home! Our group would come in on Friday afternoon July 21 (cocktail time), and would have the classroom until Sunday July 23, 2006.

Work Large
...
Making small fabric sketches and auditioning layouts can lead to new ideas for larger scale works. Working with simple shapes, and the digital camera, participants will record a variety of
compositions and design a series of work based on these improvisational fabric thumbnails.
Exercises will include creating value variations, unexpected color schemes, simplifying and clarifying designs and minimizing quilting. New finishing techniques for odd shaped quilts as well as alternative display ideas will be discussed.

I loves me this tub...
I attended a workshop with S. Shei at the Talbott Inn. You'll love it! There's a fridge in the classroom so you can bring what ever you like ie: ice cream, wine, snacks etc... The breakfasts are very good. And you'll have to check out the quilt and bead shops in town. Have Fun!!
