A Day at the Beach

Pink sky at morning, sailors take warning...We're coming to the beach!

My hostess, Sue Mezera decided to take me to Corornado, an island that has such wonderful charm, history and grand homes. Not to mention a beautiful wide beach with great waves and even greater sun.

This area was rocky but mainly it was soft low sand dunes, stretching far off into the distant hills.


This is Sue and this is the house Sue wants to own. I wish her many winning lottery tickets.

It is right on the ocean, and just ever so elegant. I am sure the staff keeps it up perfectly.

Right down the street is the Grand Old Hotel Del Coronado. They just don't make 'em like this anymore. The grounds were like an indoor botanic garden (if I were back home) but it is all outdoors. Imagine that.

What a fantastic day we had, walking and shopping and having a fine lunch, topped off with an afternoon snooze for me. I needed my rest for my lecture that evening.

oh Oh! This looks like a tough crowd. I hope I can put a smile on their faces before too long.

I guess I was OK or they wouldn't have stepped up to the table for a better look. It's always nice to get up close and personal with the audience, and especially the handing me money part!
It was another lovely day in paradise.
