Here I am sick as a dog at Panera, downloading my email, and contacting the phone company online, because we have had no dial tone, for two days and of course no internet access. What else would get me out of a sick bed in this disgusting weather?
I had to stay home from a day of play at PAQA where they are being filmed for Wisconsin Public TV and having a holiday sale to boot. I have 14 knitted scarves to sell and they are sitting at home, not being sold or fondled or ogled.
However I am not breathing my germs on anyone either, except the nice strangers here at Panera. Lots of people have ventured out even though the weather is filthy.
When the phone went out yesterday Dave called the phone company on our cell phone, which of course meant sitting on hold, never talking to anyone. I went on quilting hoping to feel better today and each hour feeling worse and worse. Finally our neighbors came home and we found out it was not just our phone that went out.
I volunteered to go to Panera and do the contacting online business, since we are also out of food, cough medicine and out of books on tape. Hmm. I got three, and hope they are entertaining.
Tomorrow the WI PBS folks will be visiting me and I will be drugged up and ready. My studio is cleaned up and I will have the new work to show, but my moment in the spotlight will be diminished by this sore throat and cough. No singing for me.

Aaaargh! You have the crud that I had last week. That is what Stevie calls it! Take care. You will get through tomorrow and then you can collapse in to bed and stay there until you are better.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon! Would love to see the segment on you, but sadly doubt it will ever find its way to my neck of the woods.

ReplyDeleteGute Besserung! Get well soon. I can't wait to see your room all ready for the TV folks.
ReplyDeleteYour machine quilting is awesome, I am quite stiff and scared when I try machine quilting. Have not got beyond potholders.
Get some ascorbic acid at the drugstore and mix it in juice to rid yourself of that illness.
