#2 Painting for Monday

11x14" acrylic on gessoed water color paper

gooey paint
My husband likes this one better than the previous one but I disagree. I do however like the fact that I was able to get that richer painted surface on this one. The way that happened, is that I loaded the brush with paint and went from one color to the next schmushing it into each other without overblending.
I likey.

  1. Whoa, Laura! You really have got it! The figures are much looser and have more action than your first attempt.
I'm curious why you don't like painting #2 as much. She's maybe a little more controlled than the kneeling figure? She's appears to be centered on the canvas? Curious to know what's going through your head...

    Either way, they're both wonderful.

  2. Wow, very impressive!!! And very inspired. Shame that I must now pack for my holiday in the snow instead of breaking out the colours and finishing my unfinished work! Sigh.
