Comments and Feedback

Dearest Reader,
I want you to know that I have gone back and read your comments and appreciate everything your wrote, both positive and not so positive. It proves that you are not a dilettante and are serious about your art and are about 'becoming a more confident artist'. That is so wonderful and gratifying. The world will be a better place with your art in it.

There is a school of thought that asserts that children who are expected to fail, will fail, and those that are expected to succeed will succeed. It's that expectation of success which I hope to propose. I am not the judge. I am in the group of those hoping and working to improve towards success. It's a rocky road for us all.

The kool part of this blog ring is that we can watch each other progress and triumph. Woowoo!

I belong to an artquilt group and our raison d'etre is to bring work every month and showcase it to the group. We also network and talk about the business of art and quilting and making a living with our art. It sounds a lot more serious than we are in reality. Lunch is one of the things we look forward to the most. I have talked about having this blog and even my bestest friends have not gotten into reading it or having a blog of their own. This is disappointing only because we never ever really get into the art talk that I crave. I guess it's because we are all busy doing the art and not doing the talking. That is the good part.
The bad part is that to truly make a living in this field we end up doing a lot of things that are not art. So it isn't much different from making a living in an office or factory.

My ranting is over, as I've used up my monthly allowance, but February isn't far off, so stay tuned.
