Night Breezes
Hand dyed cottons, fused, hand embroidered, machine quilted. 15x23.5"
There are some quilts that practically make themselves, and this is one of them. Gathering the colors and just making a stack of them and seeing what goes with what, and where, and zoom, zoom, zoom, the composition develops. Then I get to enjoy the relaxing moments of stitching, feet up, while watching a romantic movie accompanied by a glass of wine...is this heavenly or what?
Some of these fabrics have been in my stash for ages, and then appeared just when I needed them. Perfect.

Beautiful, I especially love the colour in your last shot of they dyed lilac/green with green strip and purple squares
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely mouth-watering fabrics Melody! But it takes your unerring eye to compose them so well. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI really like this quilt, there is as air of mystery about it. Julie
ReplyDeleteHi, Melody!
ReplyDeleteI am SO happy that I found your blog - I am just amazed by all the beautiful things you make, and I just love the colours - sometimes mixed in a mysterious way - just like a dream...! You made my day :) Oh - and your pug is adorable! ( Is it one or two?)
Best wishes from Liv Iren - in the middle of Norway.
