Dear Melody,
I can't believe its my turn I now have to make some decision's and it's so hard. I love the Street Series and also the Urban Landscape Series, along with lots of your other quilts but they are my currant favourites.
Size up to 15 inches, don't mind about the orientation. For the colour scheme, dark and murky, earthy with a dash of vivid. I love the colours you get when you have used black dye, hope that is not to confusing. The imagery would be abstract may be with a little geometric, I leave the rest of the choices up to you.
I hope my choices or lack of them do not give you to much trouble, I know I am going to love what you make for me. Please take your time as you are so busy with settling in to your lovely new home.

I love these series and can't wait to dive in and make something in that dark and murky colorway.

After working in the studio for a few days I decided that a better arrangement could be made. Moving the sewing machine so I can see out the window is way more entertaining that having it face the opposite wall.
And moving my worktable into the center of the room, where soon it will be under another big light fixture (still at the other house) makes working in the late afternoon more advantageous. That afternoon light was so bright that I needed sunglasses to see what I was doing. OK I exaggerate. Blinds will be ordered for that window, along with the rest of the windows in the house. The old fart chair now has a spot for hand work and a good light to see what I am doing. Yes, I think this arrangement is preferable.
Great Room, can you tell me what make your sewing machine table is please?
ReplyDeleteMelody, have you considered swing your sewing table to sit right in front of your window? A friend of mine has hers set up like that so she can glance out of the window whenever she raises her he'd from stitching.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will okay with yur set up until it works best for you, enjoy the process.
How light and airy it looks! I too like to look out my window while sewing. Occasionally I have to pull a curtain a bit or use shears in the summer but I really like being able to look outside to my garden.
ReplyDeleteYour old fart chair looks so inviting!
