More Sewing and Gardening

More blocks have been added to the start I made yesterday. I stayed out of the garden and got down to business early. A small dent has been made in the pile of strips from my stash. I'll keep at this until something starts to jell.
Back to the garden...the miscanthus Dave dug out yesterday got moved to the end of the driveway, between the flowering magnolia and the spruce. It will be huge in a few weeks, filling in this spot for years to come. Think of this as the before picture.

Chester waits on Dave for a pet.
They watch his every move.

Dave makes found object sculptures for the benefit of the drive by audience.

  3. The blocks are great! Love all the color! If Dave ever runs out of yard work he can alway come to my house! My yard is looking sad since I could not work in it last summer due to still recovering from surgery and the heat. I am now trying to regain control over the madness.

  4. Love the sculptures, but I also love the flowering tree/shrub in the first garden picture! Is that a tulip tree? Beautiful!

  8. I love the stone sculptures (Dave and the "project managers" did a great job.) The colors in the quilt are wonderful. I'm continually amazed at how quickly are able to do a quilt!
