Impromptu #1
Hand dyed and commercial cottons, machine pieced, machine quilted. 36x38"
$250 Email me.
I decided to call this #1 in case others like it follow. Who knows what will happen next as I work intuitively like I did with this one. It feels so great to not have to decide beforehand what the design will be.
For the top photo, I went to Photoshop and dropped out the background and added the drop shadow. Sometimes getting fancy like that distorts the color, so I included these close-up details, for more accuracy. As you can see, my quilting lines are not exact. Ha!
At first I just quilted this in one direction, and called it quits. Then the next morning I looked at it and decided on the grid. It was really fast to do the second set of lines, and no pins in the way.
Then below, the undoctored image.
For this year, my one new year's resolution is that when I say 'finished' it is going to mean quilted, bound and with the rod pocket attached, if it is a wall hanging.

Another glorious colourful project...I love it! And how productive are you? I have many unfinished projects...but I honestly don't have a clue how many I've finished. Maybe this is the year to photograph and document them!
