The return of color, and not a minute too soon. O so much more fun, but y'know, I needed to go through the Valley of the Dark in order to get to this place in the sun.

Not as overwrought or as overworked as the previous three either. My confidence is starting to show, at last. The thing I am loving the most, is probably going to be my downfall, and that is all the teensy details that I must add at the end. It's almost like glitter, or sequins or beads on a quilt...which would make me gag if I put them on my quilts. But you see that white line? I think that made the whole thing work. Along with the black lines showing through from the initial sketch. The backbones of the piece, reiterated. But I am talking about the teensy white lines and dots and boxes. I can't stop myself from adding those. They announce the areas I want to highlight.

O heaven help me, I am having a blast with this. No angst, no deadlines, no slide taking, nothing but learning from the experience of the previous piece.

But what about framing? Ugh. Anybody out there have a snappy solution that will make me sit up and take notice? I do have two IKEA frames that would work with this size painting. I need some mat board, with windows cut the right size.
