8.5x11.25" Acrylic on canvas
Although this began as sort of a landscape, when I put it in the frame, and turned it vertical to look at it, I saw a figure. I am not in control of my art.
Diva

12x12" Acrylic on canvas

Since the figure in the painting Walker seemed to materialize without my participation, I thought perhaps I can try to find a figure in a second painting. So I painted and repainted and overpainted and turned the painting around again until I thought I could see a form developing. And then when I did, I helped it along a bit with a glaze, in all the right places. This Diva is blowing kisses to the crowd.
After considering the accumulation of paintings around here, I have made the decision to offer them for sale. I have posted prices at each piece on the Melody's Paintings site. Visa and Mastercard accepted, as well as personal checks.
IMHO, the Diva is Carmen Miranda and/or the Chiquita Banana Lady.
