Can't Blog---Must Paint!
This is so unlike me I know, but I am actually working on this 'takes longer than one day' painting and it while it is going along swimmingly, I am not ready to post any pictures.

O, OK just this one detail. I switched from the 11x14" size to a 36" square gallery wrapped canvas and acrylic paints, so I could start adding the multiple layers of colors quicker.
And I LOOSENED UP. This is because I got the Joann Fabrics flyer that says their entire stock of artist's canvas is on sale this weekend for 50% off, which allows me the luxury of failing for lots less money!
Now I want you to be entertained so I thoughtfully am adding a great site for you to visit.
A quilter's website!!! Elizabeth Fram, the quilt artist, wrote me a super nice email yesterday and smart cookie that she is, included a link to her site, and vavavoom, I almost got out my fabrics. Get out your drool bucket and have a nice visit.
Beautiful. If I had one word for it, I'd say: Juicy!. You're making me want to go back to abstracts. I'm struggling to learn to paint illustration style women and as soon as I finish the 5 canvases leaning around my table, I'm gonna go back to exploring color and pattern for a while. :)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful 'sneak peep', can't wait to see the 'whole'. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteGot to go click on that link....
