That is genius and a video sure makes it easy to see what to do. Can you imigane trying to write that out in "directions"??
One thing..... what happens when you get back to the green with the purple??? Since you would not be going in a direction that would put opposite tension on the second thread would not be neat and tidy.... let's see said a different way..... how does one end the green??? or original color?
My mother used to say something about twisting the yarn, this must be what she meant. She made us all the 50's style Christmas stockings, and I couldn't replicate them very wel...until NOW!
I just recently watched a video on continental knitting which is holding the yarn in the left hand as she is doing in the video. I've been practicing a bit. It is neat.
Heh. I'm a thrower not a picker but I was using basically the same technique at the same time as watching the video. My mum knew some tricks :-) For the old yarn, on the next round, I loop the old yarn around the current one on the stitch before the colour change and then weave in as you go again.
As an artist, one of my goals is to take risks, try new ideas, and find a way to give myself that 'thrill' that making art can provide. Words of encouragement are always accepted.
I answer my emails faithfully, so please send me your thoughts. fibermania@gmail.com or call me at 423-653-9109

Thanks for the lesson, and inspiration. Maybe now I'll finish that 2 color sweater I started in Jan 1967.
