Untitled Top

Today's top is 39x41.5" and I do believe it will continue to grow. I feel much more like this is my work, especially the color scheme, which is one of my faves, orange and turquoise. OK... and pink and yellow. Happy colors.
And I found a way to add some prints, which were PERFECT for this color and just had to join the fun. I get it now, that is, how I will work prints into the design.

I got to use some fabrics that I had been saving for something Really Important, whatever that is or was, and I think finally it reached its maturity or ripeness or appropriate age. More or less all the fabric in my stash now has the same value. Usable stuff.
Someone asked if this was pieced or fused, and I could just kiss them. It's pieced. So?

  3. Two places that really draw my eye are the bit of grid at the very top and the orange part in the middle that looks like the corner of the blue is laying on it.

How are you going to quilt this growing piece?

  5. As I have said before, your fabrics are to die for. They make your works of art, you. Your distinct style stands out and I am in love with all your pieces. It is wonderful that it is hard to tell the difference between your piecing and fusing.

Is your new sewing table installed? Would love to see a pic!
After seeing your previous/present set- up, I fully understand your need for a proper industrial size table.

  13. Wow - I wouldn't have thought this was pieced because of those skinny-minny strips that look way too troublesome to piece! Very cool, vibrant, and fun quilt.

  14. Modern, graphic, contemporary, abstract, vibrant and eye popping color. Yep that is a Melody piece of art. At the top of her game, I might add.

    Stunning and beautiful.
