Just wanted to clarify something: when you say that batiks won't stay fused, I'm assuming you mean commercially produced batiks, not those I do at home, right?
Thanks!
JudyJudy Sall Fiber Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05172226619205640720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9291442.post-60493573027480166782011-06-02T22:52:33.401-04:002011-06-02T22:52:33.401-04:00Thank you, Melody, for this additional information...Thank you, Melody, for this additional information on fusing fabrics. I didn't use hand dyed fabric for my little practice piece and I am sure that if I had there are some problems that I would not have had to deal with. I didn't want to use my handdyed fabric for practice. I did notice that some of it is not as tightly woven as others so I guess I should stick to buying from someone who uses what you suggest. Thank you for being so generous with all of your information.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08438689262084152248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9291442.post-55871920229168523262011-06-02T18:43:11.817-04:002011-06-02T18:43:11.817-04:00That's very helpful info. I don't stitch around the edges, but I do anchor them with quilting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9291442.post-14031709539613974412011-06-02T11:24:16.495-04:002011-06-02T11:24:16.495-04:00Hi Melody, I'm wondering about your last comme...Hi Melody, I'm wondering about your last comment regarding fabric paint. Do you mean if you got fabric paint on the backside of the hand-painted yardage by accident? So, when you go to fuse it to the fusible, it wouldn't stick? Not sure I understand what you meant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9291442.post-4454092436203170442011-06-02T10:03:45.590-04:002011-06-02T10:03:45.590-04:00Melody if you don't want to dye your own, is t...Melody if you don't want to dye your own, is there a good place to purchase the type of hand dyed you have described?

Thank for all the good information.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05977147960900342156noreply@blogger.com
