Playing Realtor

My plan for the day was to shop with Dave for our proposed big screen TV. My contractor was able to come early and install my studio lights (!Yay!) so that added to my happiness. After I served the men coffee and coffeecake, Dave and I got ready to leave when my cell phone rang.
It was the gentleman who wanted to see our house in the country. The weather had prevented him from coming when he originally planned, but there was a window of a sunny weather when he could come. The real estate agents were already engaged, so Dave and I became the house showing team. We jumped in separate cars, since I wanted to fill mine with more stuff and headed back to the house in Palmer.
This was like living out the fantasy of being on House Hunters, or Property Virgins, only I was the realtor. ha!
I tried to remember all the features that I thought would be important to point out and that includes 6 closets, 2.5 baths, the tool shed workbench, the drop down attic stairs in the garage, the pond, dog run fence, etc. It was fun and it was all over in minutes. I talked to the viewer's wife when he called her, and she was so thankful that we were able to accommodate him. NO problem!
Then I looked around and saw that all that is left in the house is more of my stuff, no surprise. All of this is yarn, with the exception of a box of small quilts, and some oil paint solvents. This is only half of my yarn. Eek! I will be assembling a shelf unit for this stash in the near future.
Today is a stay home and wait for the cable guy to return day. The first guy only installed one line, when I had asked for three. That will be fixed, and then I can go and get my shelf unit and my new cell phone. Progress in small increments.

  2. You have made amazing progress, and some of us would not think it is small increments.... Just think back seven weeks. I was looking forward to spring on the pond and now there is a whole NEW spring coming...

  3. Make sure you pass on your country house handyman's number to the new owner, so they can call on him if they decide they need some help putting their own touch on the place. - (fingers crossed that it sells soon!). The new studio is looking great. I am curious how much storage area you have in the HVAC room. Would love to see a pix of it. I hope you did not get too much snow or ice.

  4. Ahem, my stash would not fit in two car loads either... It must be nice to have most of the stuff moved!

I can't help but warn you to be careful meeting folks at the home you have for sale, as a retired Realtor, it can be scary. Make sure you have lots of information. Best bet is to let your Realtor do it, if they are serious buyers they will wait for an appointment. Good luck on your sale.
