Raining, Snoozin', and Reading

It has been raining for days.
The pond continues to overflow into the driveway and down the road into the creek. It is dark and gloomy. Time for a nap.
Waking up, I find a good book to read, Girl from the South
Front Cover which is entertaining, and since I slept all day, I read way into the night, making me sleep late the next day. And on it goes. The dawgs refuse to
go out, and are snoring loudly. My knees were aching from so much gardening so staying put was good for them, but then once they got better I wrenched my back. Stupid inactivity is to blame.
For a change of pace we decided to finally watch this dvd we had ordered since mid-March.
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World Movie Poster Here's Roger Ebert's review. I thought it was sweet. Just right for the mood I was in.
Now the sun is out and I am going to quilt all day. That's better!

  1. I love that movie...it made me cry. Love you pug babies too. I make dog collars for a pug rescue here. Pugs rock!

  2. Happy reading! Have you read Folly and/or Keeping Watch by Laurie R. King? Excellent books!

  3. Reading and watching a good DVD sounds like perfect medicine to me...and with a couple of sniffly snugly dogs added even the weather would have to listen. Have fun quilting.
