Cocooning Season

The mornings are so cool that one wants to stay tucked in. I keep my laptop nearby so I barely have to rise to log on. It rained all night and everything is wet, even the coyotes, who howled mournfully very very early.
The new tv season begins tonight and if that isn't a signal that cocooning begins today, I don't know what is.
Days like this make me think about making a new bed quilt.
Just thinking, not doing. I haven't a single inch of space to put anymore quilts...but still. Or maybe I should get out my knitting? I could knit socks for my sister, niece and BIL, since they haven't had winter in YEARS. Chattanooga doesn't really get all that cold, but one pair could each could keep my fingers busy while I watch mindless tv...yes, that is the plan.
