It was so simple. Just move the machine off the worksurface and onto the tv table. I can easily iron and trim pieces now and then sew and pin on the wall to the right. Hurray!
(Piecing is so much easier than it used to be, thanks to this machine. It is a Janome 6500 and it cuts the thread by pushing a button. And when you start the next seam, no pulling out the thread first, it just starts instantly. The thread never pulls out of the needle like my old machine used to do. And the knee lift! O my. )

I am trying out different blocks to see which ones I like the best. These are for the quilt Tarantella, also from Pie in the Sky designs. Scrappy yet a definite pattern emerges. And very few pieces, comparatively.

I followed a reader's suggestion to cut on my kitchen counter, which led to cleaning up the kitchen and finishing the laundry which I had forgotten was my Monday promised duty. Arrgghh. It's only underwear and pajamas, for heaven's sake...

I am using that nice turntable cutting board I got free from Olfa last year. That square quilter's rule was hidden in plain sight in my bedroom, but it took about an hour to find, since I was looking in the garage and potting shed. Another arrgghh. Nevertheless, I got a lot of fabric cut once I found it, and now to start stitching.

Um, but first I gotta have a cookie...

Tarantella is like looking in the caleidoscop, my favorite toy.
I will be watching the progress.
BTW, I made the homemade Bailey's, I am hiding it!! vj
