Working Double Time

I am having a really fast and fun time here in Jacksonville. I am teaching four classes in two days. This means that my six hour classes are condensed into three, with a two hour break in between. I was wiped out by the end of day one and went right to bed to recoup for day two.

I did meet up with the single other teacher of this Quiltfest, Linda Jenkins of Piece O'Cake fame. She was accompanied by her husband who was serving as her luggage porter. Not kidding. Her arm was injured from so much lifting of heavy luggage during her teaching travels. Aha! I am suffering from the same ailment. This is common among us 50lb suitcase pullers. Or you could double and a half that weight. Two at 50 and one more carry-on plus purse, will turn one into a pack mule. So let that be a warning to the rest of you teachers. Push instead of pull and let anyone you can get do the lifting for you.

  1. I'm glad you're having good classes. Keeps your mind off what you want to get done at home. And then, you are almost done! Quick.

  2. Your quilts are beautiful! I try to sell mine here and there, but I just don't make enough off of them to justify all my hard work. Hopefully you're getting what you deserve for these beauties :)
