Images of Santa Fe

Lots of art, everywhere...

in my kind of colors.

Lots of laying around soaking up the atmosphere...

and getting good and tan.

Turquoise doors to match the truckloads of turquoise stones everywhere.

Lots of lovely walking in perfect temperatures... Dave is going great guns in his special walking boots. We are thinking about getting him some Cowboy Boots! They're everywhere here.

with a stop every now and then for a drink.

Rain is welcome and makes the air smell even sweeter.

The famed former art quilt gallery where we saw only two quilts by Sue Benner and two by Tim Harding, among the baskets and weavings. sigh.

The gardens here are so wonderfully bountiful. Lots of irrigation no doubt. But worth every drop of water.

Gorgeous alliums

Superb iris

Breathtaking roses

and flower boxes to boot.
We are having a super splendid time.
See you later,
Love Melody and Dave

  4. I am drooling at the Santa Fe pictures, when I visited The Thirteen Moons Gallery a few years ago, the lady in charge was so lovely she gave me lots of info on the various artists and let us wander out in the storage room out back, I was in heaven, up close to a piece by Cindy Hickock, and an exhibition by Jane Kenyon.
Can't imagine any gallery here in the UK being so friendly

Gerri is sooo right about Santa Cafe. It was our best meal of last summer's trip. I knew you'd love it in Santa Fe. "I told you so" many years ago. (Now on to San Antonio, if you haven't already visited.)
