Florida Day One

My lovely tour guide Tommy
We started the day with a good hour of rollerblading in the warm sun, after a cool night's rain. It was so enervating. I was flushed and the old heart was pumpin' away. I felt immediately HEALTHY, and that can't be bad.
Then we took a ride into the little town, Boca Grande. Everyone there drives a golf cart so it was like a bumper cars without the carnival, but it sure makes sense. One could park almost anywhere. Too fun.
Our destination was the local Art Alliance House Walk and we had a map and a list of which house to visit, in order. For some homes shoe booties were required so we didn't drag in the crushed shells from the driveway and others, well, I am sure the staff cleaned up afterwards. Lots of amazing stuff, beautifully decorated, many with unbelievable wealth and others just so perfectly normal and comfy. I took about 100 shots, which I will not blog, as that would make you all as overwhelmed as I am. I culled just a few and here they are.

I was so entranced with the banyan trees and shot this huge one and then Tommy said,

...that's Bob Vila's house and it's for sale! Gosh I was pretty impressed. Which kept happening all day, the being impressed part.

This office cubby hole with the green organizer stuff is for Frieda. Hi Freebie!

This back yard scene is for Dave. Keep dreamin' Honey and run out and buy a lottery ticket.
