A Bevy of Bodacious Bloomers
from Friendship Quilters in Poway CA

I arrived home last night and it began to snow, reminding me that I have left fantasy land and returned to reality. I had a great time in California and met scads of wonderful gals with loads of talent.
The bad Wonder-Under didn't hold us back. We overcame that momentary problem by peeling the paper off first and fusing the good fusible with teflon pressing sheets. All was well in no time. Then we jumped right into making our posies. Even though we were all making the same thing, everyone gets to infuse their work with their unique personality. What a garden of delights.
Thanks to all who made my visit so wonderful, especially my hostess Sue Mezera.

  1. WOW! That is a bunch of bodacious blooms. Looking at all of them together, I tried to see if any stood out as different from the group. The one with the irregular petal shapes extending beyond the square and the added centers was one. The other that stands out to my eyes, is the 5th one down in the right column. Because of the blend and mix of values I "feel" the flowers growing toward sunshine ... there's a lively upward energy in the piece.

  2. Looking forward to making some bodacious blooms of my own at your workshop in NJ....thirteen days to go but who is counting?
I have some WonderUnder which seems to work okay except when I iron it on the wrong side. I have never gotten comfortable with fusing so I will be a challenge.
